what is an eagle?

Eagle is one of the animals found throughout Indonesia.  In English, eagle or eagle refers to large birds of prey from the Accipitridae tribe, especially the genus Aquila.  Meanwhile the smaller birds of prey on Indonesian Bird List number 2 are called Elang-alap (Hawk, genus Accipiter).

 - Characteristic features

 Eagles are warm-blooded animals, have wings and a body covered with midrib feathers.  As birds, eagles reproduce by laying eggs that have hard shells in the nests they make.  He looks after his child until he is able to fly.

 Eagles are predators.  The main food is small mammals such as mice, squirrels, lizards, fish and chickens, as well as other types of insects depending on their body size.  There are some eagles that catch fish as their main food. Usually these eagles live in the territorial waters.  The eagle's beak is not toothed but is curved and strong to tear the flesh of its prey.  This bird also has a pair of strong legs and sharp and curved nails to grip prey and sharp vision to hunt prey from a distance beyond measure.

 Eagles have a good respiratory system and are able to supply the large amount of oxygen needed when flying.  The heart of an eagle consists of four chambers like humans.  The upper chamber is known as the atrium, while the lower chamber is known as the ventricle.
